To express the love and respect towards the elderly peoples in the society and also to model this culture in children, Little Flower School grabbed the opportunity to celebrate ‘Grand Parents Day’ on an auspicious occasion of 119th Birth Anniversary of Padmashree Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil on Wednesday 14th August 2019. The affectionate fraternity of LFS demonstrated an idea of organizing ‘Medical Health Check-up’ for grandparents of the students of classes Nursery to class III followed by a seminar on ‘Health Awareness’.

The main function commenced by garlanding the portrait of the great visionary Padmashree Vithhalrao Vikhe Patil followed by the lamp lighting ceremony at the hands of the dignitaries on the dais . It was a wonderful moment to witness the health check-up drive initiated by school. Honorable Dr.VaidyaOrthopedic Physician, Dr.DoshiGynecologist and Dr.Mhaske (Dentist) checked the grandparents and advised the necessary treatment and precautions for healthy life.

Principal Mrs.Swati Kharde felicitated the guests and the grandparent representative Mr.PopatraoKadu. Dr.Doshi conducted a seminar on ’General Health Awareness’ and share very useful and handy health tips for the luminous gathering. Mr.PopatraoKadu represented grandparents and shared his words of wisdom to the audience. In his formal address he thanked to the organizers for this unique event for the grandparents. The grandparents enjoyed playing games which were arranged for them and also shown their sign of satisfaction through citations and blessings for the school. A special photograph was clicked with their grandchild to capture beautiful bond between the two generations. It was really a proud moment for all the facilitators of the school. The event was marked as the memorable one in the diary of our school.

The program concluded by the tree plantation by the guests. The success of the event was evident through the joyful and happy smiles of the grandparents.
