Little chef Club


Salad Making Activity.

The in charge of this club conducted salad making activity for class VI students during the club activity hrs. As per the instructions the students had brought fruits like apple, banana, chickoo, custard apple, guava etc. As the students were divided into different groups they discussed and shared their ideas and discussed about the preparation. Finally each group explained and discussed the nutritive value. This activity enabled the students to develop the skills like observation, coordination and creativity.


Little Scientist’s Science club

The club in charge Mrs. Sangita conducted science quiz in the AV room. Students of class Viii and X were grouped house wise. The Quiz was conducted in eight rounds based on inventions, discoveries, deficiency diseases, units of different terms, formulae for different terms and round based on descriptive questions. The students enjoyed the activity. It enables them to develop the knowledge of science and gain confidence. The students emphasized on the skills like team work, co-ordination and time-management.


Adventure Club

The adventure club conducted the tug of war activity for class VI students on the ground. In the beginning the teacher chose four leaders and asked them to form their groups. Then the teacher explained the rules and gave them instructions about the activity and asked the group leaders toe plan their strategies. The students enthusiastically participated in this activity, enjoyed it and realized the importance of values like unity trust and team spirit. This activity also enabled them to understand importance of the skills like physical strength, determination , perseverance and concentration.


Literature Club

To develop the students interest in “literature” the club had organized language Quiz Master and chose four leaders for the four houses as ruby emerald coral and sapphire. All the participated in this activity. Avdhoot as the quiz Master performed responsibly and conducted various rounds based on part of speech, word formation, spellings, pronunciations, idioms and phrases, antonyms and synonyms figures of speech and books and authors. These rounds had simple as well as high order thinking questions. In short this activity enabled the students develop their confidence, team spirit and knowledge of literature


July MonthEnd Activities


Colouring

Month end activities are stated as follow. Colouring to develop the interest of small kids in schooling life, coloring activity was conducted for the students of students LKG and UKG. In charge Teachers provided various pictures like doll, duck kite, fruit, Basket cat butterfly etc to the students for coloring. Each child came up with his own idea and imagination and colored the pictures beautifully. The performances of the students were judged on the basis of the criteria like use of appropriate color, color combination and overall presentation. Students could develop artistic skill through the activity; students enjoyed the activity a lot.


Show and Tell 

The activity ‘Show and tell’ was conducted for the students of std I Daisy and I Rose. In charge teachers arranged different objects like ball, doll, toy, bat, pen, pencil basket etc on the table. Each student was called ahead to pick up an object and speak about it. All students participated with great interest and tried to prove them selves. Everybody described their favorite object in their own words. The performance of each was judged with the help of the criteria like confidence, fluency, content and grammatical accuracy. This activity helped to the students to develop speaking skill, students enjoyed the activity a lot.


Mask Making Activity

To develop artistic and creative skill, Mask making activity was conducted for the students of std III Rose and Daisy. It was told to the students to bring required material like sketch pens, card sheets, cutter, tread etc. students used their innovative ideas and creativity to prepare various mask. students showed great interest and prepared masks of cat, tiger, lion, dog, joker etc within stipulated time of one and half hour. Students could develop artistic and creative skills through this activity.


Origami

Origami activity was conducted for the students of std II Rose and Daisy. It was told to the students to bring required material like fevicol, glaze paper, cutter etc. in charge teachers guided the students for the activity by demonstrating. Each student participated very enthusiastically and used their gained knowledge to prepare various articles like dog, rabbit, flower garden etc.


The performances of the students were judged on the basis of the criteria like decoration, creativity and overall presentation. This activity helped to the students to develop creativity.

Puppet Making

The activity ‘Puppet Making’ was conducted for the students of std IV. In charge teacher guided the students and made them ready for the activity. Students showed their great interest and used brought material like colorful paper, cloth, socks colors, needle, tread etc to prepare puppets. Each participant of the activity prepared beautiful puppets by using guided knowledge and their innovative ideas. This activity and creative skill, students enjoyed the activity a lot.


Salad Making

Salad making activity was conducted for the students at std V. As per the instructions the students had brought fruits like banana, apple, chickoo, pineapple etc. In charge teacher divided students into different group to share their ideas for the preparation. Each group discussed and prepared delicious salad dishes and served to the in charge teacher for the taste. Finally each group explained the nutritive value. Winners were declared on the basis of the criteria like decoration, group co-ordination and taste. This activity helped the students to develop their co-ordination, observation and creativity.


Rangoli

To develop artistic skill and creativity of the students, rangoli activity was conducted for the students of std VI. As per the instructions, students had brought different Rangoli colors. Each participant of the activity participated very enthusiastically and tried to show its artistic skill through drawing rangoli. Students used their innovative ideas and give various messages based on social issue like save girl child save environment etc. through different shapes of rangoli. The performances of the students were judged on t basis of te criteria like message, color combination and shape and overall presentation. This activity enabled the student to develop thinking creative skill.


Chalk and Candle Caring 

Chalk and candle caring activity was conducted for the students of std VII, In charge teacher guided and provided chalks and candle for caring. Each student participated with great interested came chalks and candles beautifully within a stipulated time of one and half hour. Students used their imagination and hidden talent to pre themselves. This activity helped the students to develop their creative and thinking skill. Students enjoyed the activity a lot.


Greeting card and Rakhi Making

This activity was conducted for the students of std VIII. As per the instructions, students had brought required material like card sheet, ketch pens, pen, pencil colors, scale, Hindi, glitter etc for the activity. Students showed their creativity and prepared beautiful greeting cards and rachis. The winners were declared on the basis of the criteria like decoration, message, creativity and overall presentation. The activity helped the students to develop their artistic and creative skills.


Gurupoornima

To mark the occasion of Gurupoornima the school had organised variety of activities on 12th July 2014. In the morning students from I to X were introduced with the significance of this special day. During the last two periods the students enthusiastically participated in activities like creative writing, art and craft, drawing and painting and greeting card making. Students took it as an opportunity to greet their teachers by expressing their feelings of respect and honour.


This activity enabled the chidren showcase their talent and artistic skills and inculcate within themselves. The value that we should always respect our rich Indian tradition and culture and have great reverence for the Guru’s.


Visit to Pravara Medical College, Loni

On 8th July 2014 Tuesday students of class VII, VIII, IX and X visited the “ Anatomy Dept of Pravara Rural Medical College, loni. The students were accompained by their teachers Mrs. Sangita Sonawane, Mrs. Meena Pulate and Mr. Dhage.

Dr.Gunjal the resource person introduced the students with the skeleton system and showed them variety of teaching aids related to human body.

Another resource person Mrs. Jogdand introduced the students with different human organs like Liver, Kidney, Heart, Small Intestine and the stages of foutes by showing them practically. The students were amazed to see the real human organs and curious to know about their functioning. They asked no. of queries and gt satisfied. This was an unforgettable and worth experience which helped them in verifying the knowledge gained in the class about digestive system, excretory system and respiratory system, nervous system.


Visit to Shirdi Bird Sanctuary

On 30th July, 2014 Wednesday students of classes III and IV visited Bird Sanctuary at Shirdi. The students were accompanied by 4 teachers. There were no. of Birds kept in cages. The students were amazed to see the real birds and curious to know about them. This was an unforgettable and worth experience which helped them in verifying the knowledge gained in the class about birds, their body parts, shelter and food habits. There was a different session which includes different variety of Cactus plants. The resource person explained about herbal medicinal plants which are used for medicines on different kinds of diseases or disabilities.


Moreover there were different kinds of artificial animals. Students of classes III and IV enjoyed this field trip.


Xseed Workshop for Teachers

On 9th July Mr. Mahesh Prajapati our Xseed resource person visited the school to take a review of the follow up of the xseed curriculam. Since 10:00 am he observed the periods of all the Xseed teacher and presented a demo in pre primary & primary section. After the school a workshop was conducted for the Xseed teachers in the conference hall during which he guided them about the areas of improvement & discussed the queries of the teachers about lesson plan, & time management, completion of syllabus, use of content book and workbook. Mr. Parajapati guided the teachers very effectively and satisfactorily.


Xseed WorkshopFor Coordinator

On 19th July Xseed coordinator Mrs. Sonali Argade attended the workshop at Vimannagar, Pune. Xseed Learnometors and leadership skills were developed.Through this workshop coordinator was explained the crieteria of class observation.


Workshop for Parents on Learning disabilities among the children

Workshop on learning disability or physical disability was conducted by Dr. mandar sir on 26th july.He delivered general speech on behavioural changes among the children between age group 5 to 18. Their attitudes towards school studies and parents.Behavourial problem of school going children can be identified by teachers, parents and which can be tackled by little changes in their daily activities.


School has planned to continue the same program throughout the year.

Adolescence wrokshop for students


Workshop on learning Adolesence was conducted by Dr. Mrs. Phalke madam for class IX and X. on 31st July. Through power point presentation she explained following points.

Physical changes occur during puberty in girls and boys.

Precaution to be taken during the puberty stage.

What to do or what not to do.

Nutritional value for adolesence stage

Workshop for students on awareness of dengue, maleria and Elephantsis


Dr. Kawade S. P and Shri Pawar S. conducted awareness program on dengue, maleria and Elephantsis. Through this workshop children were made to identify the types of mosquitoes, symtons and the precautions can be taken.


CBSE capacity building program on Instructional Leadership for Principal

On 4th ,5th and 6th July Principal Mrs. Swati K attended capacity building program organised by CBSE , HR consultants.Topics like role of Principal as instructional leader, effective lesson observations , educational phylosophy, administrative development, communication skill, technical skills were covered.
