Annual Sports Meet
The Annual Athletic Meet of Little Flower School was held on 13th December, 2019
displaying the qualities of sportsmanship and teamwork of students. The guests were welcomed by the Head girl and Head boy of the school. The playground wore a festive look with colourful flags and well laid tracks. The event commenced with the spectacular , impressive and well synchronized March Past by all the four houses namely Ruby , Coral, Sapphire and Emerald.
The sports meet was declared open by the chief guest Mr. B.G. Kolse by releasing pigeons followed by lightning torch; beacon for the games. The flying start was given to the athletic meet by the torch bearers taking a lap of the ground with the torch. The chief guest presided over the oath taking ceremony followed by presenting the Annual sports reports. After the dispersal of March past the Principal Mrs. Swati Kharde felicitated and welcomed the Chief guest Mr. B.G.Kolse an Indian social activist and former judge of the Bombay High Court in India, Mr. Ashok Patil , Chairman Vikhe Patil foundation . The students displayed various drills like cartoon drill, joker drill, umbrella drill, fan drill and the ribbon drill mesmerizing the audience with their energetic performances. Students competed in events like sprint races , relays and running races.
The air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. The sports activities were followed by the prize distribution ceremony where the students came up with flying colours. Medals and certificates were presented to the winners. The runner up Trophy was bagged by the Ruby house, and the Winner Trophy was bagged by the Emerald house. The sports teachers were also felicitated by the chief guest. It was a rewarding day for the entire LFS family. The chief guest addressed to the students reminding his school days and the importance of having self- belief, being focused and goal oriented. He laid emphasis on children’s diet and nutrition so that their mothers should give them healthy food and regular exercise. The school playground rimmed with flags and balloons with the sound of cheers made everyone’s day.
The school head boy Vipul Thete proposed the vote of thanks followed by the singing of National Anthem.
