71th Republic Day Celebration
Little Flower School, Loni witnessed the celebration of the 71st Republic Day on the 26th January 2020. Students and teachers filled with a feeling of patriotism and dedication gathered on the school playground. The event began at 7:00 a.m with the hoisting of the
Indian National Flag by the chief guest of the day, Mrs. Swati Kharde,the school Principal followed by the National Anthem and Flag Song.
The chief guest in her address highlighted the significance of the day, and made the children aware that the future of their country lies in their hands. Hence they need to study well now and inculcate good values in life, which will help them to be good citizens of the country.
But this was not the least . As decided the celebration was planned in a very grand manner. “Unity in diversity”--- these are not just words, but something that are highly applicable to a country like India that is incredibly rich in culture and heritage. Aimed at showcasing the
interesting and varied subjects from culture and tradition a procession was planned from the school to nearby places.
The school displayed the four states of India with their themes & houses namely
Maharashtra(Emerald house)—The Coronation ceremony (Shivrajyabhishek sohla) , Kerala(Coral house)—The Thumba, satellite launching station, West Bengal(Sapphire house)—Durga Puja, and Jammu Kashmir(Ruby house)—The defence system and the warfield. Students of std 8th & 9th were the part of this theme. At the first position were the house captains holding the school name followed by the newly appointed council members.
The proceeding began by serving breakfast to the students . The students, teachers,
non-teaching and supporting staff headed towards the inauguration of the procession at P.M.T gate in the school buses under able guidance of principal Mrs. Swati Kharde mam. The procession began by inauguration and traditional coconut breaking. The Celebration began from P.M.T gate to Padmashree statue , then to Chitralaya corner via P.V.P college to Little Flower School. On the way students were served with glucose water and biscuits. Parents witnessed this programme all the way long. A safety human chain was from both the
sides by the teachers and other members. The police officers played a vital role to ensure the safety for the students. The celebration ended with the message to create great nation through collective efforts from all individuals.
