The ongoing COVID- 19 pandemic has reminded us the role of Doctors and the sacrifice, contributions made by them all over the world.1st July is celebrated as ‘Doctor’s Day ’to thank doctors and nurses for their huge contribution to medical advancement in India. This day also commemorates the birth and death anniversary of former Chief Minister of West Bengal Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. Little Flower School, Loni celebrated this Doctor’s Day to emphasize the value of doctors in our lives and offer them respects by commemorating one of their greatest representatives. The celebration began with a letter reading by Class IX Rose student Ms. Apurva Gurav on behalf of school representative.

In her letter she paid a tribute to these frontline workers. It was an emotional way to express gratitude. A PPT was run simultaneously featuring all photos of Doctor parents of school students. Saplings were gifted to these Doctors as a token of their relentless efforts by our supporting staff at their clinics, working places, homes with proper safety measures. Students from std1 to std10 offered and expressed their gratitude by posting messages, quotes, poems, speeches, drawings and role plays through their class whats app groups. A special ‘Doctors Day’ celebration was also organized by the pre-primary section where they played role of doctors and made everyone realize the importance of doctors in ones life. These Doctor parents expressed their feelings through the class groups. The celebration was a success under the kind support and guidance by the Principal Mrs. Swati Kharde. It was a joint celebration by LFS team.
